Because you taught me all I know

You’ve grown a year older..

wiser? maybe. :) but still more funny than ever…

I am proud to tell people that you are my teacher in this field that I love dearly. I love it so much that I have been dedicating at least a post a day for pictures and other related stuff for it.

It all started out over coffee and SPAM. Some grains and blurs and the slow synchro. Now we have advanced conversations towards DOFs Apertures, Bokeh, Film and a bit of dSLRs, SLRs and lenses.

I am (im)patiently learning, for you to be proud of your young padawan who hasn’t joined the dark side (yet).

maybe soon… d200? d80? meeh

We may have fought over crazy shit like Aperture and quitting photography, but we always patch things up in the end.

Maybe because you’re more than my mentor, you’re also the one I love most…

Happy Birthday :) To my master in Photography

Never stop giving me all the love and all the things I need to know to be better.

take flight to where earth meets the heavens.

I took a chance this morning to go sky-hunting with a close friend. I took my coffee, my cameras, and a pack of malboro lights and headed up my favorite place.

The sky was beautiful. And the floor was full of puddles waiting to be explored.

I’ll tell more when I get home.

my rolls of film in the CD at last…
will be busy creating posts later…

the world through my eyes

I always wanted pictures were I can show my artistic side inside my own photos. I had no tripod and I was left to search for my own makeshift tripod. (mental note: buy a tripod soon). There were no other mediums available but a cooler for some air-conditioning device. This is my favorite.
medium : Canon IXY 910 IS
shutter speed:
1/159 (seconds)
exposure : 1/160(seconds)
aperture : F/8 (seriously? not a 2.8? *surprised)
ISO : 80
After playing around some more, my camera died on me. Hahah. Anyway I was happy with this one :)

why i’m in hiding…or something to that equivalent.

the philippines is a growing pot of photographers in both film and in digital. in fact, there are so many people who are already so good, it’s hard to keep up. well, keep up meaning, the rickety, unsteady flight towards being institutionalized of sorts. it’s nice when people gets to notice to your work, be it good or bad comments, everything and anything will do. just to keep you learning, just to keep the creative juices flowing.

but since most of the better media of hungry wolves focus on the budding, cute and young photographers, being a 23 year old hobbyist holding a film slr with a kit lens plus a p&s just won’t cut it in their eyes. the forums in which i go to has already a bad mix of all talk and no action and closely communicating on their own circle of artists and dreamers.

so if i can’t get any feedback from the upper photographers, i go to the public, the people who actually looks at the photos. it’s great to hear all the love, but sometimes I need the tough love. i want to know what i can improve on, and what i can do to be better, i love them to bits, but they can’t tell me if my composition is right or if i’m under/overexposed, or this would look better on some lighting and all the shebang.

so i took my cameras and my pictures to a place where i can show them freely without feeling a bit paranoid, and people can comment on them in fair game (pertaining to here, wordpress). i hope i can get to meet all the dedicated artists having fun with their craft. and i hope they can share to me the things i need to know and i too will share them what i have learn in this little playground of mine.

anyone care to join me?
anyone care to join me?

hope to hear from everyone who shares my passion :D, especially people from manila, philippines, i’d be glad to share a cup of coffee and some sticks of ciggies over shooting. :)

Sometimes, it’s good to be pretty. It helps you get noticed.

I think I look okay. Although I am really vain, I guess it’s all about the angles. It’s all about the personality.
I’m no squeaky clean type of girl. In fact, I would wear the crappiest, baggiest, most frayed jeans if I can get away with it (I think I can), and the heaviest makeup and the darkest of eyeliners and purple lipstick. I love black and brown and gray and green and pinstripe, my red and black checkered tie, and my spiked, leather choker and bracelet. I love my black-framed glasses…

I love me.

Yes, this is the correct blog to post this. IMHO, I know nothing about photography has been said, but I was asked by my boyfriend (who is my photography teacher/mentor/critique) to go over a certain person’s page with a certain person’s photography. For some reasons only he and I will probably understand *wink.

After stalking her for a while, I got all suya. Not only she’s smart, studies in a prestigious university, takes good photos, and only 19, but she’s being fawned over by a big majority of the web population.

I don’t get it…I really don’t.

I bet if I was pretty(ier?), I carry a Nikon d200, and I dress really cute, a lot of people would probably comment on my photos and help me out. Because I’m a budding photographer and all that jazz.

Yeah, yeah, yeah…I’m just being suya

welcome to yet another wastefulspace blog.

i noticed i’m not a stickler for details when it comes to film, in fact when bai was asking me what rolls i placed on my first few shots i was as blank as a clean A4 paper.

which led me into another wordpress for storing all my film notes and whatnots.

this is side mirror shooting. reporting for duty.
